Moving out and Moving on

Today we are finishing moving out and cleaning up our old apartment and officially going to our separate homes tonight. It’s a bittersweet feeling. This has been our home for the past 14 months and things have changed so much. I truly believe this apartment harbors very strong negative energy for us individually and as a couple. It hasn’t been the best 14 months and the last 6 or 7 has probably been the worst of our 6 1/2 year relationship. I’m happy to be out of this apartment, moving on, and starting fresh somewhere else, but I’m also terribly sad about the fact that I’ll no longer be sharing my home with someone who has become one of my best friends over the past 7 years. I know that after every storm comes a rainbow, and that God will never put more on me than I can handle, but the stress and the pain I’ve been going through lately is out of control. I’m unsure of our status as this moment, but I believe time apart will be good for us. We need the chance to grow as individuals and figure out exactly what we want in life and what we’re willing to do to achieve those goals. I’m not the same person I was when we met my junior year of high school. I’m not the same person I was 6 months ago. I’ve grown, I’ve changed, and whatever the cause may be, I am now different. Change is part of life, and rather than try to fight against it and force things to be the way they were or the way I’d like them to be, I’m letting go. Allowing God to handle them, and let whatever happens, happen the way it’s meant to. There are still things on my mind I feel I need to say, and in time, those things will come out. But for now, I’m closing this chapter of my life and moving on to the next one. There’s a new, exciting journey waiting right in front of me, and I plan on finally living my life to the fullest, finding out and being who I am, what anyone wants me to be, and living with no regrets.

wish me luck…
